Railroad Art
This page is kept posted for its historic interest. The below links should still be valid and you are encouraged to explore each of them.
TrainWeb was involved in creating the "Silver Rails Gallery" and the "Silver Rails Shop" where many well know railroad artists displayed and sold their
railroad related works of art. These venues were part of the non-profit project affiliated with the proposed effort to build the Silver Rails Resort
in La Plata, Missouri. Unfortunately, this effort had to be abandoned during the economic downturn of 2008 and the Silver Rails Gallery had to be closed due
to lack of funding.

Silver Rails Gallery
was a venue in La Plata, Missouri, USA which displayed
significant works of art in the canon of railroad artistry. Established in 2010,
Silver Rails Gallery featured paintings, photographs, three-dimensional works, poetry,
literature, artifacts, multimedia works, and performances that document, honor, and capture
the experience of railroading throughout American history. Whether seen through the eyes of
a railroad worker, a passenger, a train enthusiast, or a citizen, railroad art can serve to
broaden our view of the important roles railroads and trains continue to play in society.

Silver Rails Shop
featured the works of J. Craig Thorpe, Will Anderson, Ken Barrett, Nick Smith,
Bob & Amy Cox, Carl Morrison, and Chris Guenzler.
Here you could find one of a kind photography and artwork for your home or office.
In this store you could also find railroad related gifts, books, DVD's and CD's,
and other custom items.
